Opening at Gallery VER, Bangkok, on 24 October 2026, Jinjoon Lee's solo exhibition
The Sacred Mountain asks what we hold sacred, and how we might sustain our relationship with it, in an age when AI treats even the human mind and memory as objects to be decoded and reconstructed.
By placing within a single performative environment a body walking the mountain, hands that burn and polish driftwood, a machine that repeats a ritual, sounds generated by a virtual brain built from the connectome of a fruit fly, and the audience who step into these scenes and sounds, the artist explores the meaning of the acts by which we seek to discover, shape and protect the sacred.
This exploration ultimately arrives at the question of whether art still holds the power to change us and to reorient our lives.
